Design of Governance in Socio-technical Information Systems

The Internet has become the most important infrastructure component underlying every modern socio-technical system, either as the means to provide access to the information managed by the system (as in transport or health), as the core of the information system (as in banking and finance), or both (as in research).

How are the components that run the information sub-systems of socio-technical systems designed? How are design and architecture conducted in order for the system to fulfil requirements related to needs or rules embedded in society?

These are some of the questions that will be studied and discussed during the lectures on “The design of governance in socio-technical (information) systems”.
