Seminar Computer Vision

The objective of the computer vision seminar is to create a research background and culture (e.g., awareness of what has been done and is being done in computer vision and machine learning) and to develop presentation and critical analysis skills. Themes in computer vision and machine learning will be presented for a few weeks. Each theme will consist of a general presentation of the topic and of a more specialized recent work within the topic. Attendees will be required to attend all seminars and to present once per theme a paper selected from the literature. It is also possible to arrange presentations of own research work.
 

Learning Outcomes: 

Upon successful completion of this class, you will be able to:

  • Develop presentation skills and learn how to prepare and deliver presentations of your work or the work of others
  • Learn and understand fundamental up-to-date themes in the area of Computer Vision and Machine Learning
  • Develop critical analysis skills
