EGovernment Frameworks

Bringing citizens and public authorities nearer together with information and communication technologies through the development of e-Government is a complex task. To understand the challenges and pitfalls of e-Government programs, the course develops several frameworks of study and development: strategic, conceptual and organizational; architectural, in relation to standards and operational; economic and in relation to public-private partnerships; as well as aspects related to the participation of citizens.
 

Learning Outcomes: 

On successful completion of the module "e-Government Frameworks", you will be able to:

  • determine the scale and scope of an e-Government project
  • understand the impacts of an existing architectural framework on the success factors of a project
  • analyse the relationship between an authority and its clients (citizens, businesses) that is implicit in the functioning modus of an e-Government system
  • define a set of architecture principles for the framework of an e-Government program
  • analyse the structure and main drivers of e-Government inside an application domain (e.g. e-health, e-democracy, e-administration, etc.)
