PhD position at University of Fribourg, Switzerland

The eXascale Infolab (XI) group at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland is looking for a PhD student with a MSc degree (or finishing by the latest  end of September 2017) to conduct research on a newly accepted D-A-CH project called ProvDS (Provenance over  Data Streams). The project covers tasks on streaming time series analysis, recovery of missing values and provenance calculation. The candidate should have strong database background, strong analytical and programming skills, and a good command of the English language. As a PhD student he/she will contribute to build scalable algorithms, evaluate them and publish the results in top-tier venues. The starting date of the PhD is January 1, 2018.
